Anybody know why so many on the ask this morning prior to opening? At least it is above the closing price!

So Gangsterme, perhaps you should read up a little on spoofing, and how it works, as illegal as it is. Computer trading and bids without intent to trade are very common.  There was a trial not too long ago that a big bank lost, paid a fine for doing it, and they call these matters "the cost of doing business." There is no shame when it comes to hosing stockholders in the name of
