I have long favored them "living off the land". The KMZ was a bust in this regard because it was faulted away before it reached the surface. I'm delighted to hear that they are now pursuing the concept in a small way. In mining a pit is a hole where width>depth. A trench is a hole where width

I watched the Colin K interview, but missed any reference to starting an open pit mine. Care to elaborate?

Don't think large open pit mine. Think small scale trenching to pay the bills. The possibility is briefly mentioned starting at 27:10

Thanks for the 27.10 info. I listened to it again. He does suggest that a near-term something is being considered, but I didn't hear the word 'trench' that I thought was implied in the thread. Was our nice bump today in part helped by this interview mention of 'taking it ahead'? Hmmmm?

You have to read between the lines. The only "low capital cost" form of mining is trenching. Furthermore, with the exception of Keats West eveything that they have is narrow veins.
