Gold action

Gold touched $2160 overnight and is currently at $2154.  Some gold bugs are predicting that gold will correct from recent highs.  In their opinions it went up too far, too fast.

with weaponizing of the US $ the central banks around the world have no choice but to add to gold reserves to protect themselves then you add the massive debt problems which are going to lead to banking problems somewhere I don't see the flight to gold taking a pause anytime soon it may slow down but 2024 the massive uncertainty worldwide in all things will keep some upward pressure on gold we ...more

Maybe people are increasingly worried about the Brics actually getting away from the USA currency as a reserve, they are certainly in many cases, increasing their gold purchases. Of course, the Canadian government is not doing this to my knowledge.

Interesting that you mention BRICS+. I thought everyone had forgotten about that wild card. If the world finds out whether Saudi Arabia finally signed on the dotted line, it should raise a few eyebrows. No matter how hard I try to find one, there does not seem to be a definitive answer regarding their final decision about joining.

I just saw that Saudi Arabia has resumed its trading partnership with South Africa. If this is a signal that the Saudis will be be joining BRICS+, it will be huge for gold. All gold related stocks including NFG will respond to a rising tide.
