Global, regarding drilling

I spoke with someone who knows a driller in Abitibi.  He said that to drill 1,000 meters takes 12 days in typical rock.  If they rushed deep drilling assays, they are duds and if they didn't, it's because the core wasn't mineralized.

Oh, and for some of you smart know nothing longs, this same person  tells me they drill 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  Is that alright? OK

Thank you. That is consistent with a rotary drill at 11 meters per hour. However, rock hardness is a critical factor, granite bedrock being very hard. Still that makes only partial  sense. Why undertake Seismics to 1000 m if you can drill that in 12 days whose cores automatically inform about gold bodies ....unless Seismics is only for guiding drilling so that drilling efficiency is the ...more

Perhaps you might need to pick up the phone, find a drilling outfit in the Abitibi or in NF for that matter, and ask those questions because only they can provide proper answers.  Hey, I think it would settle the iissue. EK
