Surely you must know that the largest open pit gold mine in Canada is orogenic and that's its average mined grade is just 1 gram per ton .

Its Detour Lake which has produced well over 5 million ounces since opened in 2013 and still has over 20 million ounces in its gold pantry and still counting.
There are substantial others in Canada too....
Perhaps you might inform the Detour Group that your analyses of the current 20 million ounce Resource that their masterclass open pit mine contains, indicates that those 20 million ounces cannot be economically mined.

I thought the largest open pit mine and operating gold mine was Malartic They have about 5 years to go, and then they go underground. They are running at about 1.78 grams per ton. Correct? EK

Go to Agnico website and there you will find that DL ...is the largest producing gold mine in Canada
