the Iceburg b'ys and Brent Cook / Joe Mazumdar

Deposit Continuity !  or lack thereof.

These words strikes fear and doubt in the minds of those less able to assess this criteria (like me! lol)

I remember sometime during the evolution of the Valentine Lake deposits, commentators/geos  Brent Cook and Joe Mazumdar were criticizing Marathon / Phil Walford's project because they deemed the deposits to lack continuity.
I guess they.ve been proven wrong by now, lol.

The Iceburg b'ys jumped on the same fear mongering trail with their write up (in September, i think) about NFG's project.

I went back a bit through posts here to find and discussion around deposit continuity at NFG's sites but was unable to find any - i'm sure its been likely discussed on here - maybe i didn't go back far enough in the thread?

Can anyone here offer any comment or www links around this facet of NFG's deposits? Is current infill drilling removing deposit continuity fears?

Thanks, BG

Queensway/Appleton North is an emerging gold district, not a gold deposit.  There are some 30 known gold deposits scattered over 140 km of strike length with more being discovered all of the time.  There is a lack of continuity between the gold deposits.  There is no lack of continuity within the gold deposits.  For example the Keats Main Zone (KMZ) has been traced continually ...more

Absolutely correct Retiredgeo. It will be interesting to see what individual deposits will be included in the coming MRE next year. It could be extensive or very limited. They do not have nearly sufficient information on much of the 140kms to do any kind of a MRE. They likely will do a minimum to satisfy the NFLd requirements specially if they are only doing this under pressure.

Thank you retired for making that distinction .   New Gold deposits are still being found in the Abitibi district more than 100 years since the discovery of gold at Lac Fortune in 1906, It will be many decades too before QW is fully explored. I am not aware that there is any example except NFG that owns a complete gold district or indeed most of it, all by itself ..
