Is Northern all smoke and mirrors?

I am an investor and have bought into the pipe dream of the supply and demand imbalance in the graphite / EV markets. I have never been to Northern's locations but are their assets (graphite deposits) really as good as how they disclose? If they truly are sitting on a large deposits, then why the short selling and panic? I understand that a lot of "renewable or green" markets are getting distroyed but at some point in time, these assets will have substantial value. I feel that management is spinning off this tech rebranding non sense to buy them time to get through this downturn but all I care about is the truth behind their graphite deposits. Thanks

Palmer009, Should you not already be most well informed with respect to the remaining historical graphite reserve at Lac des Illes, I suggest you become quickly well informed. As I now clearly understand it to be the case, LDI historical graphite proven reserve was scheduled as being depleted this year. Whatever yammering Hugues Jacquemin et al have gone about conveying, with respect to what the ...more

Palmer009, Perhaps my reply for you helped clarify for you where our respective equity investment stands - or lies annihilated. It doesn't look good; and that's an understatement for sure. It's a $100 Million FIRE SALE! We'll likely be down at $0.09 soon.

If you have to ask that question, you haven't been paying attention.

You're right, I havent been paying attention. I do know that when I hold or buy down during the bad times, I've often come out on top in the long haul. But if these guys are crooks and truly have garbage assets, then the upside is limited.  All in all, this is a very small % of my portfolio and I'll most likey hang tight in hopes that in 2026 this becomes a 10x. If not, well at ...more

Personally, I don't believe these guys are crooks.  Incompetent at managing a public company and all that comes with it...as well under the premise of possessing the best graphite producing assets in the world RE the US IRA. I have my own ideas and thesis as to why we are sitting at .16 and our poor management team is certainly to cover most of the blame, but not all. I would hold ...more

Gorilladome47, When you call Hugues Jacquemin et al "incompetent at managing a public company and all that comes with it...as well under the premise of possessing the best graphite producing assets in the world RE the US IRA", you actually provide the lot of them with more of an excuse. Everything they have individually and collectively done or failed to do was intentional and ...more

1Student, sorry but I would have to disagree with you re the integrity issue.  I don't believe HUGUES or others has any purposeful intention of deceiving anything.  Again, I would focus on the incompetence and inexperience of the group....but not integrity.  just based on my own interactions and observations, nothing else.   It's hard to watch,  ur the macro ...more

Gorilladome47, Integrity? I didn't specifically comment on integrity. You suggested "I don't believe HUGUES or others has any purposeful intention of deceiving anything."  Without any doubt, my experience here with NGC informs me otherwise Gorilladome47. Also, when you point to the current macro environment as something which would help to make NGC a profitably operated ...more
