You are fixated on market makers. Tha problems are big banks, hedge funds and mutual funds. Market makers in these conditions play an important roll to stabilize a share price. Do you think NOU would be trading at these levels if naked shorting wasn't an issue. Doesn't matter how great a NR might be for a company stocks don't react correctly.
