I am glad to say I wasn't ever invested in Bre-X. Although, I am familiar with the story and also how Joe Groia made sure to keep John Flederhof, who allegedly could not tell that those entirely unsecured drill cores had been salted, out of jail. Perhaps Greggory Bowes, Hugues Jacquemin, Guillaume Jacq, Cam Birge and the others may want to refrain from parttaking of any helicopter rides.
