Words were tossed around for the past few decades, such as--- reducing the ecological footprint, bio capacity, carrying capacity, sustainable development, protecting ecosystems, climate change, global warming, ocean acidification and greenhouse gases. The academic/scientific world sets the background and then countries define their net-zero emission targets, some going to 2050. A lot of projects ...more

Are renewables just a passing fad, some ask. The cost of electricity will go up if interest rates go up, and less projects are undertaken by the private sector if subsidies dry up. Then fall back on cheaper nuclear and natural; gas produced electricity and slow the progress toward net zero emission targets. For countries to meet their emission goals the public sector would have to step in.--https: ...more
