Oh well.

The reasons for granting tenure are in the BC letter. Who knows what is being discussed and what future is being contemplated for NW BC.

Things must have been discussed in detail for that tenure approval to come about. Consensus support from the Haida and the footprint of the project is much smaller. May not even require another environmental review.

Northland is still there. Now I assume they are trying to secure a PPA.  BC Hydro somewhere along the line will play their role also.

The area under consideration has fierce wind and high waves. Northland talks about the North Sea. But Hecate Strait is quite a challenge even for the most seasoned. 20+ meter waves.

Hydrogen production hubs for BC. Even mentions BC as being a North American hub for hydrogen production and export. It could be a mix of green and blue hydrogen. But BC Hydro has to be involved. If exporting to the US, I think for US only green hydrogen would qualify for their renewable energy credits. Hydro is not considered a renewable energy source, so blue hydrogen is out. Need wind power. B ...more
