Spin the ideas
RWE for example in Holland's North Sea, plans to combine offshore wind with electrolyser capacity for green hydrogen production, as well as other flexible demand solutions like e-boilers and battery storage. Plans to include floating solar panels alongside offshore wind for a more efficient use of ocean space.
RWE describes everything as being a "new generation of offshore wind farms that can be perfectly integrated into the energy system".
Included is an ecological concept designed to benefit ocean biodiversity.
RWE is the company Northland is co-developing green hydrogen windfarm in Germany's North Sea. Operational by 2026.
