Pattern Energy
Pattern Energy (a private company) is owned by CPP Investment Board. Could be a good development partner for a wind project. A lot of power required to take advantage of economies of scale.
In Newfoundland for example, World Energy GH2 needs 3GW capacity to achieve economies of scale for green hydrogen and ammonia. They want to build onshore turbines, Require 500 onshore turbines for 3GW. Any offshore wind project would have 200 turbines.
This is the scale we are talking about.
Maybe there is a role Northland could play on both the west and east coasts. For now, it's encouraging that renewable energy options are being talked about for both regions.
