I was reading up on the Alaska LNG proposal. The idea there is to capture and sequester CO2 directly at the supply source. Is this the general idea the Gitanyow Hereditary Chiefs may have in regards to Ksi Lisims?
Not only that, but the end-users of LNG will not emit CO2 in their countries.
In the Alaska case, electricity would then be produced at export facility by natural gas without CO2 emissions. Would not stress out the electrical grid, power from which could be used for other purposes.
Whereas for Ksi Lisims, BC Hydro can provide clean power.
No solution will ever be perfect as emissions from drilling, flaring, etc will continue. Then still have the captured CO2 in the ground and the associated costs.
