Don't fool yourselves...the future is not with graphite
Sandy Munroe says that solid-state batteries will be in mass production within two years. Tesla management is very aware of developments which may be why they are accumulating cash.

Hopefully, full scale operations will begin by 2023, although delays are likely with such projects.
