NeutriSci International Inc > I have a sell order for all my shares

I have a sell order for all my shares

At $2.00.  Perhaps that will eliminate some of the short shares available in the market.

Add another 150k to that list. Does this make these shares unavailable for lending to shorters?
Comment by WOODRUFF7 on Feb 08, 2021 5:01pm
Add 164,000 to that $2.00 order

Ginger I have been told that shorters, borrow shares from long holders in order for them to sell short. If you have a sell order, those shares are unavailable. That is my understanding of how it works but then again Robinhood securities allowed GME to be shorted at 150% of the float. Not sure if that was allowed or within the rules but the SEC is looking into it.

Shorting is only allowed if you are using a margin account and is not allowed using a TFSA or cash account.   I'm guessing that a majority of the trading by people is done through a TFSA or cash account.   See : https://nbdb.ca/tips/products/how-to-short-stocks-in-a-registered-account.html Also see : https://www.quora.com/Is-it-true-that-putting-a-high-limit-sell ...more
