Nexoptic Technology Corp > For comparison on how long to 'siliconize'

For comparison on how long to 'siliconize'

a revolutionary 'disruptive' technology, have a look at POET Technologies.

V.PTK

Pull up a 20 year chart.

Big potential, and a couple of starts up the ladder, that retraced, and obviously a lot of frustrated longs if in fact there are any original 'retail' types left in the stock from the previous two or three false starts.

At this stage of the game they have about $150,000,000 in Accumulated Deficit.

i.e. they have spent that much trying to 'go commercial'.

And they have issued about 300,000,000 shares in the float to get to this point.

BUT it seems that 3rd time up the ladder may be the 'charm' this time arond.

The fact of the matter is that they stuck to their knitting for over a decade, and look to be on the verge of 'bringing it home'.

For comparison:

Pull up a NXO Long Term Chart (Stockhouse goes back to ~2011)
It has an Accumulated Deficit of $83,000,000
and a float of about 150,000,000 shares.

About 1/2 the Deficit and about 1/2 the outstanding shares comperd to PTK.

But they also are sticking to their knitting.

The 'new' NXO, the one that was reborn out of a junior mining exploration company (Elissa), is only about 6 years old in the 'tech' space.

Yep, a couple of false starts...but all the while making progress.

And as Bezos says 'The company is not the stock and the stock is not the company.'

As to why current management doesn't spend on 'touting' the stock to create trading opportunites for scalpers...because the money is better spent on R&D.

Build it...they will come!

I've been here for awhile..and not going anywhere.

I just wish that some of the non-investor types here whose posts are always blaming management for the 'delay' in getting the next lift-off in stock price would get together and dump their holdings all at once.

A nice knock down through $0.40 should hit all the sell stops that have been/are accumulating around there.

A nice spike down on big volume so that I, and others like me, can absorb their position.

The sooner the better.

After which, I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have long to wait, investment style wise, for a decent return.

Happy New Year!

AU We concur with your assessment.  Thank you. NexOptic is participating in what will be a massive tech change, with widespread impact throughout the economy, with more applications than I can fathom. It does not happen overnight.  The fact they have come this far, this quickly, speaks to the expertise and managerial acumen that exists within the company. But fickle investors want their ...more

Always enjoy your posting but losing is not an option for RG.  Great career and a nice following .  He won't end it on a penny that won't make his investors $$.  slowly but surely , get us into the new year .

@Green  If we win, great.  If we lose, we lose and we move on.  Nobody to blame but ourselves, enriched by a lesson learned. But the endless slander, unwarranted accusations and fear mongering of some posters (I suppose they continue to post - I don't know because several are blocked) continues. If they can't afford to lose money, then they shouldn't invest it.  ...more

Are you talking about the smart guy who convinced NXO to lower the warrants to 36 cents and sold about a million worth warrants purchased at 36 cents at the summer peak $1.20-1.50, putting over a million in his account? Oh, yeah if this happens to anyone of us surely that person will be speaking very nicely about the company. Furthermore, he might be preparing for a second round of investment and ...more

GG, what are your thoughts on BlinkAI as a competitor to Nexoptic, looks like very similar technology. Have you and your tech savvy group compared the two?

  patent issues?
Comment by GreenGecko on Dec 31, 2020 11:34am
I'm out of touch with the group until we next meet in 2021. I recall BlinkAI being mentioned as one of the competitors in the space. But we remain with NexOptic due to quality of partnerships and Mr. Geruson's participation. Rarely will a company be a standalone with no competitors, particularly in AI.  So our view is to place our bet on the horse that you believe is the best.  ...more

Interesting to note that Blink appear to be Nvidia partners as well.
Comment by mitch38 on Dec 31, 2020 12:46pm
Thanks for response GG and I agree that NexOptic has the goods due to quality of partnerships and Mr. Geruson's participation, plus it is a public company whereas Blink AI is private. The potential with NexOptic is huge (This is why Geruson joined in first place), so many applications that can benefit from the ALIIS software. The viability of the software has already been verified with the ...more

During Mr. Geruson's online presentation from a few months back, he explained that when he joined NexOptic, that he recognized that some directional changes to optimize opportunity were needed. Of the entire presentation, I found that point most interesting. I have no idea who brought him in to the company, but it may well have been another Board member.  Or it may have been a potential ...more

I think you are missing what the DoubleTake was supposed to really be, a proof of concept for their lens tech. It was supposed to trickle down into phones, cameras telescopes... anything with a lens. That was the whole reason I, and many others invested in the first place. Clearly the lens tech didn't work, and the AI that corrected the problems became the focus.
Comment by mississauga1 on Dec 31, 2020 6:17pm
Sorry but the Double Take was supposed to be commercially available end of 2019.  Even the edison award they got was supposed to be awarded to a product that was commercially awarded which DT never was.
Comment by GreenGecko on Dec 31, 2020 6:31pm
Wookie:  we agree.   I don't believe the lens was proven viable to themselves or the market.  The repeated modifications in the design and applications were indicative that it had some challenges.  Not incorporating the ALLIS tech into the DT seemed silly to me.  Why buy if a future model will include it?  It could well have been enough to sink the company in ...more

You have to wonder if this was an American company it would have already succeeded great tech and mangement have stayed invested.I can not see this failing but who knows where the stock will be without a very big partnership to caplitalize the implementation.Unless samsung goggle or apple have similar tech in development they need this.

The smartphone is a big market, but industry uses for quality control on the assembly line and conveyor belt, and medical device imaging, is several times larger. Just an example. In the big diamond mines, after the kimberlite is crushed, it goes onto a conveyor belt where cameras identify the diamonds, and then compressed air is routed through nozzles and used to 'puff' the diamond off ...more

AU You continue to impress. I'm an investor in Novo Resources, and they have had custom-built sorter to separate gold in gravels, using the same technology as that used in diamond separation.  I considered such developments as perhaps a niche where NexOptic may have a use. As a former Seabee and a general jack of all hammers, I can attest to a multiplicity of potential uses as well.  ...more
