My understanding of the chip

So the new 778G chip has a bunch of new and improved features on the chip itself. With this comes Qualcomm's 6th gen AI vs last design that had 5th gen AI on it. Nexoptic is what I assume to be on the 6th gen AI combined with all the other AI software on the chip. From what I have read, the 6th gen AI allows anything using the camera to have a better experience regarding noise suppression and a better picture quality because of the AI. Sounds a lot like we are on board of the 6th gen AI which is also on other chips like the 888. It's not an option with the chip. It's part of the new chip design. You can buy the other chips but anything with the 6th gen AI design will have Nexoptics on it. Here's an article on found on the AI improvements. https://venturebeat.com/2021/05/19/qualcomm-unveils-chips-to-power-the-next-generation-of-smartphones/ Hold on boys we are almost there.

Hi SomeInvestor  My understanding is that its an option ... As not all the customers need the chips for Video uses.  Anyone else have an opinion ?
Comment by SomeInvestor on Jun 28, 2021 2:36pm
It wouldn't be an option for the customer like you or me. We wouldn't being going into bestbuy and asking for a phone with the ALLIS option on it or to not be on it. Just like how you can't go and ask for an iPhone without the imaging stabilization. It could be an option for phone manufacturers but I highly doubt that. ALLIS is integrated on an AI chip that is part of the CPU ...more

Aliis my mistake.

Someinvestor  Im talking about bussiness to bussiness customer ... Which is ALIIS 's target market Not sure why you mention retail ?  For example, A computer company like Dell would not need the ALIIS  on thier CHIP , they would have no Use for it But a Camera Company or a cell phone company would ....  Just my understanding

Yeah at the bottom of my post talks about business to business but I said it was unlikely. Snapdragon which is what Qualcomm makes are cpus that are only for mobile devices. It could however power something like a new iPod where there is no camera that a company may not want aliis on the cpu but again since it's a hardware component and not just something added in by software, I don't see ...more

Someinvestor  I read up a bit and I think you may be correct. Doesnt look like they are customizable.  My Bad.  if you are correct thats a big plus for NXO as it means the ALIIS will be on all chips !! $$$  Heres some interesting features that resemble what ALIIS brings to the table  • multi-frame noise reduction • Real-time object classification, segmentation, and ...more
Comment by BarstoolSage on Jun 28, 2021 3:30pm
Just a quick caution....NXO is on the 778G (G for gamer btw...this is a phone where graphics is tres NB) but to my knowledge is not on the say 780G....not that it could NOT be. It's just that the 778G was the only one that included NXO in their launch (as far as I know)
Comment by SomeInvestor on Jun 28, 2021 3:38pm
If you read the specs of the 778G is says the AI chipset is 6th gen which would be where aliis would be put on. My assumption is any cpu made by Qualcomm with the 6th gen AI component will have aliis one it. That's why I believe the new Snapdragon 888 processor will also have ALIIS on it.
Comment by Henryford on Jun 28, 2021 4:32pm
Surely, if Allis was in commercial useage anywhere at present, NXO management would have announced the achievement by now.
Comment by Topper00 on Jun 28, 2021 6:17pm
@henryford your right I figure they would announce too but what if it's like conflict in interest or they have to wait till partner says so...something along those lines I don't know just throwing that out there.
Comment by Topper00 on Jun 28, 2021 6:29pm
They hired all these new people. I would hope they expect to have substantial revenue coming in near future. I hope this is a very ground breaking exciting month for us all. Let's conquer the chip

@ Topper  We have been hearing that NDA excuse from all the way back when NXO was promoting cell phone camera Lenses ...  Just getting old ...  We are at a point where its show us the Money
Comment by SomeInvestor on Jun 28, 2021 3:32pm
Yeah, it would be too hard to please everyone. Makes it easy for Nexoptics to make money. They get paid for every chip manufactured with the 6th gen AI regardless if the final product sells or not. Nexoptics will be making money off of a per chip licensing structure which makes it great for us in the long run because once aliis is fully developed and implemented it will only produce money ...more
