Annual General Meeting?

Does anyone know when this year's AGM will be held, if at all?
In their glorious past, they were usually held in either November or December.
So far, nothing but crickets.

It's in the ballroom at the fairmont hotel. Steak OR Lobster. Not both. Times are tough.

AGMs are not optional An Annual General Meeting, in Company Law, is an interaction between a company's shareholders and directors. During this meeting, shareholders with voting rights have the Authority to propose and vote on motions. Legal Requirement: The AGM is mandated by law, and all companies must hold it yearly.

Five thousand dollar fine in Paul's future? "The Directors must provide a Notice of Meeting to all shareholders entitled to vote not less than 21 days before each AGM or before the signing of a resolution in lieu of the AGM. Each shareholder receiving the Notice of Meeting also receives certain documents (described in Section II C below) except a shareholder who has informed the ...more

Maybe some folks still think that there is hope for this company. Like Eric Idle says..... Eric Idle - "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life" - STEREO HQ - YouTube

Perhaps, like some Canadians, some Americans simply don't know any better

So I just off an email to Joel Sutherland, asking him when this year's mandatory AGM is being held. Any guesses as to what his (non)reply is going to be?

FYI The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA), co-ordinates initiatives on a cross-Canada basis, provincial or territorial regulators handle all complaints regarding securities violations in their respective jurisdictions.

Have at her! Lol
Comment by Maxmoe on Dec 11, 2023 10:44pm
RR, I doubt you understand what this means. Allow me to help others. The CSA is an entity in name only. The individual provincial regulators enforce securities laws in Canada. Unfortunately, there is no SEC equivalent. So in the case of NXO, you have to deal with the BCSC. They are useless at doing anything to protect shareholders. The OSC may take an interest on occasion. Quebec's AMF are ...more

And here is the relevant section of the bcca re agm. I cut the jibber jabber and leave you with the good bits.   a company must hold an annual general meeting, (a)for the first time, not more than 18 months after the date on which it was recognized, and (b)after its first annual reference date, at least once in each calendar year and not more than 15 months after the annual ...more

Whoever it is but the ask is been padded so consistently but on the otherside it only takes some savings from Beer money to make some purchases. Yup, I did it plus do some dieting. Wondering how Kev and the boys survived not being paid....hmm yet start a new company...yes, lots of sacrifice I guess.

I can't guess how many of my posts are removed. Read fast, they don't last. It's so frustrating they won't do anything about a racist goon on the blackberry board, but god forbid I respond to that goon or the counterproductive bash attacks here and elsewhere.
Comment by Maxmoe on Dec 12, 2023 10:12am
Yup, and apparently I'm also prone to vulgarity and profanity by using an inappropriate acronym. There must be an AI robot deployed with keywords or key acronyms automatically resulting in a message being yanked but racists human rights violations are missed if the poster dances around the robot buzzwords. So I'll try my message again. Edited to "G" rating. LOL

Here we go, with just ONE acronym replaced.  Why on earth would anyone from nxo respond to you? There is no requirement for anyone to respond to obnoxious shareholders. Never mind obnoxious non shareholders. At least your pal with his 10 million shares deserves an occasional "go fly a kite" response because he owns more shares than all the insiders combined. For sure, your emails ...more

I know of at least one other company in violation of AGM requirement and it has $millions in the bank unlike nxo which can't afford the stamps for an invite.
