Hopefully this guy helps in the execution but this does not cater to the call for savings or lower headcount GLTA

It does however, speak peripherally to the medium term health of the company. One would assume that highly skilled, highly qualified person would not take such a position without some kind of understanding about the longer term health and prospects of the company. I few this a neutral to slightly positive development in the short terms and potentially very positive in the medium and longer term.

Agree. Hope this guy is good. If the Board goes on the fat cut mode and execution, you need to know all the implications every move leads financialy and legaly too...However I believe we must have stong management team to help Matt on several aspects and I don't think this is where we should save money...  Hope they know where they're going...

He's based out of Vegas. He will not be helping with reduction in headcount. It's a necessary function. Surprised they did not have one previously. The cost cutting will be the function of the HR dept. directed by the senior exec team.  Matt did state on the last CC that the new revamped verticals will dictate the firm's new organizational structure going forward. Perfect time to ...more

I realize the position is needed. Just can't help thinking headcount is still increasing.  This position will cost at least 250 000 US + options. Will NYX shrink headcount to offset the hire? I doubt it.  Looks like personnel cost will rise again this quarter. Was really hoping for stable costs.   The next phase of NYX seems to be to get bloated. More empire building. I know ...more

why don't you request an update on the integration between OB and their core operations

Sure, so they will give me sensitive information like that. Makes perfect sense to me.  Heck, it takes 3-4 weeks before I get a "canned" cut and pasted comment back from I.R. You've never tried contacting the firm obviously. Still waiting for an email sent before the Christmas break. I'm not anticipating one soon as I'm sure I.R. has more important matters to deal with.& ...more

NYCJohn,  you wrote, "I get replies quite promptly from IR. No one here is calling it your first rodeo so not sure why you threw it in there." 1) My replies are not so prompt. Weeks waiting for a reply is not uncommon. I understand that we've had a holiday break recently. I'll give IR another week before sending another identical email or phoning. The responses received ...more
