Outcrop Silver & Gold (Ticker: OCG.v or OCGSF for US investors) continues to make strides in high-grade silver exploration, advancing its Santa Ana high-grade silver project in Colombia.
As a key silver explorer, Outcrop Silver is dedicated to unlocking the potential of Santa Ana, which is one of largest and highest-grade primary silver districts in Colombia.
This flagship project spans 27,000 hectares and hosts multiple parallel vein systems, making it a cornerstone of Outcrop Silver’s growth ambitions.
Last week, Outcrop Silver announced new drill results from its Jimenez target within Santa Ana.
The results showcased high-grade silver and gold mineralization across parallel and subparallel veins, highlighting both narrow, high-grade intercepts and wider mineralized zones, emphasizing the potential for resource expansion.
Notably, one hole intersected 1,288 grams per tonne of silver equivalent over 0.32 metres within a broader 3.58-metre vein, while the newly discovered Jimenez North vein returned 789 grams per tonne of silver equivalent over 0.30 metres.
This drilling supports a robust geological model, suggesting the Jimenez veins could evolve into substantial resource zones, reinforcing Santa Ana's potential as a high-grade, economically viable silver asset.
Today, Outcrop Silver also announced a strategic leadership appointment with the addition of Robert Scott as Chief Financial Officer.
Scott, a CPA, CA, and CFA with over 25 years in corporate finance and compliance, brings significant experience in equity financing, IPOs, and corporate restructuring.
His appointment underscores Outcrop Silver’s commitment to bolstering its financial foundation as it advances Santa Ana.
Scott’s expertise in managing complex financial operations is expected to support the company's continued exploration and growth, with CEO Ian Harris highlighting Scott's alignment with Outcrop’s strategic objectives.
