Technically very sound,,!!

A gap up this AM, then some profit taking to close the gap and a couple hrs later were right back at it again,,. Millions of dollors in volume day after day leading to daily record highs,,. Its looking like some folks got a whiff of the 3dip and are likeing whats coming,,.

Another day, another record high, you wont find a better looking chart,,!!
Comment by twaver on Dec 03, 2020 2:46pm
I would tend to agree with the hypothesis that some news on the 3dip could have leaked out based on today's performance.  HOWEVER, my other copper stock, Surge Copper, is up 25%, whereas OCO is only up 14 - 1/2%.  Therefore I must conclude that today's gallop higher is merely reflective of a generalized optimism for the copper space.  We will likely have another gap up when ...more

Highest volume in more then 90 days, worth $2.8 million Cad both sides of the border, 4 new highs in 4 days and up 30% since last week,,. By rights we should see a bit of a pullback but from what I can see this buying is coming from a multitude of different houses, some pretty serious buying going on so Oroco has done a pretty good job with getting the story out,,!! vol    ...more

Indeed oco has done an amazing job getting the story out.  I guess my $1.60 by Christmas is outdated. Considering we may see a pull back IMO to the $1.70s (CAD), I am looking at upgrading my target for end of December to CAD 1.90 for December 31 2020.  My target for Dec 2021 is CAD 3.50.
Comment by EStreet on Dec 03, 2020 8:19pm
Any of those forecasts work for me,,. This 3dip could be a game changer if it tells the right story,,. I dont know how much you can depend on it, we ultimately dont have to as they will prove it with the drill next year so the question remains,,,,, "how much value will the market give this stock prior to the drill results?" Maybe someone with a better understanding of the 3dip technolgy ...more

I'm going to keep hammering this point on the off chance management is reading. Given that ST is setting up itself to be "turn key" operations given infrastructure and accessibility, OCO should really sell for close to 100% of NPV.
Comment by AnchorValue on Dec 03, 2020 9:03pm
i wouldn't expect the 3dip alone to boost the stock price. Even if you read the last one - which was an immensely positive development - the language was so subdued that I'm not sure the market could make sense of it. My guess is the story at large re: the historical deposit + the rise of copper prices is what will keep pushing the stock higher until we actually start drilling.
Comment by caliche on Dec 03, 2020 10:42pm
IP alone is an indicator. IP with previous drilling that correlates almost exactly with said drilling is immensely more valuable as it validates itself against what we know to be there. Oroco's management is conservative and uses subdued language but for those that study the IP it is quite exciting. I think the stock is finally reflecting the last news

Tomorrow is four weeks since the NR on the South zone, so we should hear more anytime?
Comment by EStreet on Dec 04, 2020 1:17pm
Looks like a brief attempt to roll this back 15 mins after the open only to get met with some serious buying again,,. Like why would you sell at 1.79 when it was trading and 1.88,,. Here we are 3 hours later 589,000 and over a million dollars later were right back at it,,!! OCO - V  ATS 1.0 1.94 · 1.95 10.2 1.95  ...more

Estreet, my year target has now increased to $2.10 for year end.   For the buyout I am going to venture high and put a $6 CAD target. end of 2021 I have a CAD 4.00 target.
Comment by Overertune on Dec 04, 2020 7:59pm
I thought buyout should be quick after drilling starts, sometimes early 2021?
Comment by auricgold on Dec 04, 2020 10:52pm
No, buyout will come AFTER all the drilling is done and results come so this will take at least all of 2021 . This is why I am guessing mid 2022 we should hear from majors.
Comment by ukermann on Dec 05, 2020 3:18pm
In principle, Auric is correct....in that the conventional practice of drilling out the resource to be able to show all the facts, benefits the seller. That takes time. Here, we have a rather unconventional situation in that historicals are in place but deemed by some not to be "trusted". Thus, when the full IP is interpreted, overlaid onto a map of what we know, the probability of ...more

I think it takes more to get 10% gains which is why I believe $2.20 or $2.25 is not in the realm of 2020.  However I have $$3.50 to $4 target for 2021.  I also believe though it will be more like a $5 buy out though.
Comment by MikPrecious on Dec 06, 2020 1:22pm
I think we should go quite high once the next 3DIP come out really really soon to leave us with a better than expected xmas present above 2.25 maybe.  10% of 2. Is only .20 cents. Not far from there with the news coming around the corner.  It's going to be an amazing 2021.   Just a suggestion but we should form a telegram or some app group chat with those looking for steak all ...more

I think the number of people that hold a million shares of OCO would surprise only 180 million out if you subtract insiders, family and friends, friendly onside shareholders and those that own a big block waiting for buyout, there isnt many shares left.. thus the price rise.. i dont expect that to change anytime soon!    be right, sit tight, get rich
Comment by EStreet on Dec 06, 2020 8:15pm
I not sure of the exact quote however I think Adam Smith said on one of the presentations that 30 percent of OCO's shares were held by insiders, another 50 percent of the holdings were made up of large and long term share holders,,. A lot of these folks have been at it a really long time so I woulnt expect any low ball offers making it anywhere especially given the diverse backgrounds ...more

Estreet, correct. Management owns around 30%, maybe 25% by the tme they get dilluted. Long term large shareholders and some smaller ones represend at least 30% I would say. Historically some people bought in the 10s then 30s and 60s and so on. A lot of the people who got in up to the 80s even are gone and new shareholders came in at the 1$ range. Even if some of these newer priced shareholders are ...more

Comment by zins on Dec 07, 2020 12:55pm
If I recall several years ago during tax loss selling season someone on the ball snaged about 500k shares at something in the range of 0.04-0.06 per share. Back then it wasn't that easy to accumulate a sizable number of shares, it took lots of little purchase over time.

ha i remember that day.. it might have been christmas eve  just dropped my kid off at school and another shareholder called me..we were both trying to buy shares.. I was on my phone from the car...i think i got some at 5.5 or 6...it was 8 the previous day we've come a long way but its still early in the game congratulations to all here on another decisive ATH

Do you really think this stock will keep going up until taken out?  I am wondering when to take some profit.
Comment by Schr8r154 on Dec 07, 2020 3:28pm
I'm not touching anything until buyout. There's too many key checklist items ahead that haven't been priced in yet that will ensure deeper pockets and my timeline does not dictate that I need the money for anything else in the short/medium term. That would probably be my only reason to take profits but I am happy to sit and be patient. Additional 3DIP results in the next month alone ...more

You should wait until first drill results if anything.  It will blast off toward $3
Comment by auricgold on Dec 07, 2020 5:25pm
Mik, well put. Yes, drill results, lets assume in June will blast this off. I assume permits and drilling in April, and it will be several drills at the same time, then results within 4 to 6 weeks from that. So probably late May or mid June. At that point, I will not be surprised to see $3.50 CAD.
Comment by auricgold on Dec 07, 2020 5:16pm
Overtune, what you need to ask youself is this: If you sell today, where else in this sector can you find a company comparable with another 100% upside over the next 24 months. Dont just look at upside, take a look at risk as well. Also, if you need the money, sell, if you dont need the money then off course you can weigh your options.
Comment by MikPrecious on Dec 07, 2020 5:27pm
I totally agree with you Aurico as the catalysts are so many and not even factored in as of yet.  I plan to sell a little bit perhaps if it reaches pass $4 hahah. No probably a little after $3 maybe but majority is to enjoy the ride toward buyout.  It's pretty simple.  Drill reaults will bring in majors eyes to open up.  Also copper price is in big demand.  There is a ...more
Comment by Overertune on Dec 07, 2020 6:07pm
Since the company doesn't have drilling permit yet,  I think there might be pull back after 3DIP.  Nobody knows how long we need to wait for the permit. that is the only risk.
Comment by AnchorValue on Dec 07, 2020 6:33pm
I believe in Mexico there is pretty much no risk for exploration drilling. If you don't hear from the government in 90 days, you can assume you have been awarded the permit and can proceed. It is very procedural. I think the next drivers that can make the stock pop before the drill program starts are (i) further increases in the price of copper, and any (ii) grading that may become more known ...more

Thanks! When is the end of 90 days? I guess they can start drilling next February?
Comment by AnchorValue on Dec 07, 2020 7:29pm
I think each zone has a seperate application, and am not sure if they have all been filed. I imagine this is something they are debating internally. If, for example, the permits for Brasilles comes first, does that mean they should drill there first? Brasilles appears to have a highest possible pay-off, but there certainly is less uncertainty in drilling the North Zone first and sticking to the ...more

I recall asking Adam about the permit and he mentioned it's more an administrative thing and by the time they finish the full depth analysis of 3DIP it will be February and by then they will also have the rigs in place to drill apparently.  Perhaps early March at the latest I would imagine as they still need to do geophysics.  If you have been patient this long then it's worth ...more

Mik, yes that is true. I think drilling will be in April sometime or Q2 2021. Till then we have to get all the 3DIP, rigs in place etc. Remember, Mexico SHUTS DOWN from dec 10 to January 10th.
Comment by clavat2224 on Dec 08, 2020 1:26am
Should we be anticipating a 3DIP update this month? Or likely won't hear anything until the next year?

My thoughts as well, I think they are further along then we know, I believe the early plan was to have this completed and to commence with drilling drilling in Q1, delays due to covid and expanded boundaries may have set it back a bit,,. They commenced the 3dip Sept 10 and updated on Nov 5 more then 4 weeks ago so we could hear something any day now,,.  Adams 3D plan showed planned drill ...more
