Santo Thomas and Haib

Long 25,000 Orroco and very patiently waiting for my payday!

also new to mining sector and mining stocks.

Learning more everyday and pride myself on gaining knowledge daily

question I have for those more knowledgeable them myself

I have came across Deep South resources and the Haib mine in Africa

The similarities between this Haib and Santo Thomas are striking

can anyone here provide some color as to why the valuation gap between the two parent  companies is so wide

thanks in advance for those who might provide some insight

Mariusz I'm a big fan.

love to hear your opinion

Deep South is more of a bet on a technology than on the deposit. The deposit requires bio leaching methods. This means that the deposit is not good enough for traditional methods. So the management is betting thta bio leaching will work. I personally do not want to bet on this technology but there are others who want to take that risk. You have to chose for yourself if you want to do that.

So the deposit differs as to the process as to which they extract the copper from the ore?   has this bio leaching process had success in any other locations or is this a completely new technique?   Again appreciate the response and now I will start my research on this bio leaching process

I don't really want to discuss Deep South here because this is Oroco's bullboard and people that read this board are intersted in Oroco. If you want you can email me directly. The bottom line is this. Deep South has a deposit where traditional methods do not work. The deposit is uneconomic. So they are trying bio leaching which is not viewed positively by the copper experts. I don't ...more

If you remember only one thing of what I'm going to say, remember that mining is a really shitty business.  The odds are way against you making $ in that business compared to going to the Casino where you already know the odds are against you.  Just because OCO is part of the 5% where all the stars perfectly aligned (after 20 years of legal battles, a super unusual way of it ...more

Very well written / spoken. Thanks for the reasoning and the inference drawn. I appreciate such useful postings that educate and inform us all.

Thx for the kind words. I give credit for much of what I learned to the fact that I invested through Mariusz from the very beginning. He paid the price to be the investor he got to be. Some mining companies tried to hire him to raise money for them, but he flatly rejected them as he would never recommend an investment that is not good enough for him to invest in.  I don't know how those ...more

Well said again. Thanks for the detailed background and the faith based on facts. Perhaps you can be hired by companies for raising funds . But you and Marius must value and protect your brand.

Pardon my ignorance please. What is Deep South? For a moment, I confused it with our South zone.
