Excellent visit with OCO today

I'm getting a lot of questions about my visit with oco today, a lot. 98% are "when" questions. When is this happening or that happening.  Imho that's the wrong question. I say trust management and trust the process. Adam, Craig, David and Ian are doing everything they can to make all the "when" questions happen ASAP.  I learned a long time ago to ask how, what and where questions.  How is drilling going? What are you seeing? Where are you drilling next? How does that move the model forward? Unfortunately disclosure prohibits detailed answers to many of those. The answers I got were consistent with what Adam said in the last zoom call with Torrey Hills.  Drilling going well, some growing pains but they are getting a groove and with weather improving meterage will increase. Drills started in rainy season, there were challenges but they have passed with 2 nice long holes in the box and 2 more in progress. They are seeing what they expected to see where they expected to see it, historical and IP is turning out to be an excellent road map to drilling success.  Next up is Brasiles . Impact on the model....too early to say. Assays will determine the way forward. The team is seeing real time data and with the depth of management and top notch consultants they are proceeding with the most impactful program for ultimate sale to a major. Trust the process and the people.

Wise words, cal. Needs to be pinned! You cannot ask for better stewards of your capital. If you have cash, add to your position. If not, switch off till the initial assay results are available whenever that happens. No point in watching the day to day moves, it is just noise.. cheers, JG77

Thank you. Excellent points to remember. Did anything come up as to the how, what, where regarding additional drilling permits, air survey results, customs issues?  I also think the management team is doing a great job. However, improvements can always be made. Personally, I think they could find better PR/investor communciations than Torrey Hills. And maybe another 0.5FTE would help Adam ...more

mrobpor, I could not agree with you more, and I have mentioned countless times to Adam for past 2 years. There is no point even menyioning. If they would have focused on retail brokers, more Toronto institutions, Montreal etc, we would have a lot more liquidity and I honestly think the price would be higher.  Having said that, the team in Mexico is STELLAR. I peronally think withou them and ...more

auricgold - Thanks for your comments, and your initiative to bring this to management's attention. I've only been following Oroco for about a year, but Torrey Hills doesn't seem to be putting in any effort to learn more about the space or the company - they say exactly the same things. They did not respond to me when I tried to sign up for their webinars. Anyway, that's a big red ...more

One thing to remember is the share price of Oroco is miles ahead of where it was for other companies in the space.  It touched a $600m market cap with NO DRILLING. Filo didn't do that. Solaris didn't do that. Yes, I know there is historical drilling which derisks the project, but major institutions are likely waiting for 43-101 complaint assays before putting in big money. My point ...more

I disagree with the fact that liquidity and IR is not important. SLS is UP 3.4% today and trades 446,000 shares at over 13$ per share. We trade a measly 87,000 shares, we are down and we trade under $2.50. Having brokers support and retail support is very important. i agree with some posters here, like mrobpor said, Torrey Hills doesnt do didley. The only times this stock moved uup lately is when ...more

I can't speak to the need for brokers as that is not something I have knowledge about but let me address some of your other points. 1. We traded 190k shares today (You gotta include ORRCF, SLS has 0 liquidity in OTC so their total was 448k combined). So that's really not bad considering that we have NO drill results, yes historical holes blah blah, but really for where we are 200k shares ...more

Coppermonster, I get some of your arguments, however, have a great liquidity is part of running a public company. MCE selling a few shares should NOT affect the price of OCO if it was more liquid.  Yesterday the trades were not too bad, even though we had a lot less volume before that. Having 190K shares in both markets, or NOT a major achievement when a company is 10 years old and trades at ...more
