Do the math at $4 copper. Cost per ton = $10.68 including everything smelting, mining, milling, transportation and G & A. Insitu Cu per ton = $27.28 net Cashflow per ton = $16.6 /ton. Total cf $16.60 x 456mt = $7.6 billion. That doesn’t include by-products which will add tremendous value or the upgrading from drilling 30000 meters.

That wasn’t my question, is this what they expected or not? Catie, you realIy think the value of a mine is calculated that way? So, if I understand correctly, after one week of drilling, Glencore just found out they sold a $7.6 billion asset for $20M? Somebody will lose his job over there. As for the Dr, give me a break with him, you really think brokers and institutional investors will buy the ...more

Of course no one will lose at Glencore; instead, there will be a bonus for the shill wearing the Big Boy pants who pawned off (at peak copper) a chimeric dream on a bit player and water boy (despite his talent) so he can run around doing (and paying for) all the grunt work in chasing the mere hope of finding a shiney penny in the sandbox -- And if it is found, will demand it be handed over ...more
