Educational Paper on Rethinking Cybersecurity in a Quantum World

TORONTO, ON – July 6, 2021. 01 Communique Laboratory Inc. (TSX-V: ONE; OTCQB: OONEF) (the "Company") is pleased to announce the release of the educational paper “Rethinking Cybersecurity in a Quantum World”.  This is the latest collaboration with PwC China to help audiences get ahead of the Quantum challenge.  (The full paper can be read at https://www.pwccn.com/en/issues/cybersecurity-and-data-privacy/rethinking-cybersecurity-in-a-quantum-world-jul2021.pdf)

The educational paper provides an overview of the quantum computing advancement; as well as the latest development of post-quantum cryptographic standards. It uses factual information, simple language, and analogies to explain some profound theories of quantum computing.  The intention is to help businesses to assess and make an action plan.

“The widespread use of cryptographic solutions today means that all information assets that are valuable to us could be at risk as advances in quantum computing technology threatens essentially all public key cryptographic schemes currently in use. This paper provides updated information for business leaders to keep abreast of this emerging risk”, said Samuel Sinn, Partner, Cybersecurity & Privacy Service, PwC China.

“The task to unravel what cryptographic tools are being used and then implementing new ones while ensuring interoperability could be very time consuming. Considering the speed with which quantum computing technology is evolving, it would be prudent to plan ahead for this emerging security threat.”, said William Gee, Partner, Digitalisation Office, PwC China.

Andrew Cheung, President and CEO of 01 Communique, commented, “We are delighted to work with our business partner, PwC China.  Their leadership on post-quantum cryptography and its impact on the fast-growing digital economy further corroborates the urgency for enterprises to start preparing for post-quantum data protection.”

Sergey Strakhov, CTO of 01 Communique added, “With the fast-approaching quantum threat we must introduce quantum-safe public key crypto systems into our existing systems.”

This is the best Cheung can do? An "educational " paper? Dozens and dozens of worldwide cyber security breaches and 01 can't find a single paying customer? Amazing ineptitude by Andrew Cheung and William Train.  Bozos personified

isn't this how PWC China is playing it? Maybe they know their markets and their clients. After all blue, you've been here for decades. That's a slow play if there ever was one. Be patient grasshopper. You don't own any shares anyway.

You do know that PWC China has ZERO to do with PWC as a global entity right? Do the math......is a China based company going to pay 01 for this technology.......or will they just steal it like they do most other patents? This company is a scam.  And the big 2 are behind it all.

I didn't know that blue. The principals appear on pwc china's website and pwc china is part of the global pwc network. Would be good enough to share your specifics that led you to make the statement, "You do know that PWC China has ZERO to do with PWC as a global entity right?"

Blue, I invite you to read the recent paper attributed to PwC China: (https://www.pwccn.com/en/issues/cybersecurity-and-data-privacy/rethinking-cybersecurity-in-a-quantum-world-jul2021.pdf).  On the last page, it lists PwC China as partof the Global PwC Network.  That does not jive with your statement, "You do know that PWC China has ZERO to do with PWC as a global entity ...more

Happy to clarify. PWC operates as a series of partnerships, with over 700 different offices. They use the PWC name, and PWC International coordinates the global "brand" in an attempt to create a common approach. HOWEVER, each office operates as a unique entity and operate as distinct legal operations.  Most operate under the LLC protective umbrella. Basically, just because Andrew ...more

That is the very definition of PwC blue. You said, "You do know that PWC China has ZERO to do with PWC as a global entity" which is patently false.  PwC China has as much to do with PwC globally as any other practice in the network  Asia-Pacific is the second largest revenue generator for PwC Global.  Of course it takes time for initiatives in one region to gain traction ...more

Most people (me included until recently) do not know that PWC is broken up into a series of what amounts to "franchises". But Cheung relies on that lack of awareness to position his relationship with 2 fellows at PWC China as a "PWC" relationship........a bit disineguous. You fail to explain why Cheung would bother with a China based compoany, given what is well know about ...more

Why don't you ask him why he chose China as one of the entry points for the 01 technology?  I have my theories which I will keep to myself.  01 has also signed agreements with others, including CGI, that has cred in the USA market, as well as niche applications such as (bitcoin) ATMs and keyless car entry. Post quantum security is still somewhat in the evangenizing phase.& ...more

Cabbie. Yet again, you FAIL to address the elephant in the room. Ironcap claims to deliver a superior level of online protection.....for quantum applications at worst case, but also for protection against technology in use today. So, with ALL THE CYBER ATTACKS WORLDWIDE, WHY HAVE CHEUNG ET AL, FAILED TO DELIVER ANY REVENUE? Lemme guess......"why don't you ask him"? Seeing as YOU, ...more

There is no elephant in the room for me at this point; IronCAP is pre-revenue.  I the past year, 01 has signed or announced  9 partnership initiatives, several in the past 6 months.  It is unrealistic to expect significant revenue from IronCAP at this point.  In fact, quantum security standards have not even been set by the tech community as yet. In the interim, revenue from ...more

Ironcap is ONLY "pre-revenue" at this point because Cheung, Train or any of the 9 partners you've mentioned have had any success generating revenue......despite a gaing hole in the market. And with regard to PWC China, my point is that they are a standalone in their support of 01 and Ironcap....NO OTHER PWC AFFILIATE HAS ENDORSED THIS RELATIONSHIP IN ANY WAY. That speaks loudly.
