Concerns

Ahh from what I've been reading from you guys it seems like the top end of this tail is already past us?? At this point should we as shareholders be happy if we get $1.20 per share in a buyout. From what it seems right now I would be. So even if we find a JV and we can get drilling done what's you're guys' humble opinion on where we can see the price of the stock go from there? I'm tryna make some serious $$$$$ here. Suresh needs to realize we're all trying to win here. De Alba would even benefit if we were sold at $1.20 hahaha. Anyhow let me know what you guys think.

Its a good question Mannyman99.  It used to be when good news in the basin happened (Exxon first discovery in May 2015, lead up to the Tullow wells last fall, Apache discoveries this past January-Feb), CGX shares floated up to around $1/share very quickly. Will we ever see this again on solely good news? I kind of doubt it. Hell, we can't even push the share price above .60 cents on our ...more

WCP - I have no idea why you are invested here. You are so negative. It must be torture for you. It is bad enough for me and I am optimistic. Lol. You should just close your computer and think about something else for 2 - 3 months. But I would like to clarify more misgivings that you write here in your negative vibe. Within the past year we have been over $1 in SP based on news indirectly related ...more

How am I negative waitingstill? Would you rather just read other folks posts that outline basic information and not actually get into details that might be of value?  "No news on what the seismic shows"... your kidding right? CGX finally released very detailed PPTs that show seismic over Corentyne and Demerra. Not that difficult from there to take the acres (which they provided!!!) ...more

Honestly, IMHO I don't think it's a big problem we're not releasing seismic results yet due to the fact that oil is still low. However we do have another year, and if oil price is one of our concerns on whether cgx not getting the money they deserve for their land OR they might have to give up too much of a working interest in order to progress with drilling then I must inform you guys ...more

Manny, I"m with you. If I remember right, De Alba's options are at $0.71, no way he let's that go to waste. There are government insiders here, De Alba is a shark, and we're sitting on a pile of (black) gold. I will say, contrary to your point, that it'll be somewhat hard to time the release as you mentioned because we have a November deadline. Nobody, including CGX, would ...more

WCP - I read only half your post and can't be bothered to read the rest. I will just say that most investors are not reading ppt's and estimating resources when an independent third party report with ACTUAL real 3D data will be made avail. I will leave it at that and wish you well in your dark World.

That's your opinion waitingstill. If people interested in CGX are too lazy and can not do there own DD and make some simple calculations, well that is there loss. People also know oil exists and probably won't invest money even with a resource report. They aren't investing because we have NO money to actually drill these prospects.  Also, this wonderful resource report has been ...more

Westcanpride- I do see where you're coming from however investors are mostly hesitant about investing in oil because it's dropped so much in value. Once the value jumps back up so does the value of the offshore lisences cgx is sitting on. I'm sure they know the value is going to go up which is why they might be more relaxed than they should be haha. But to be honest if I think about it ...more

One thing I do know is that they have to get more done in less than a year than they have in the last 5. So they better giddy up. Let that sink in a bit.

WCP -   Just last month, Elliot Management (large hedge fund based out of NY) just invested $30M in Cataleya Energy, a small E&P focused on oil exploration offshore Guyana. https://www.google.com/amp/s/mobile.reuters.com/article/amp/idUSL1N2I52UY In addition, Exxon just bought 50% in block 52 from PETRONAS offshore Suriname back in May https://www.offshore-mag.com ...more

Good post OIL_RUN. Would be nice to know what Exxon paid Patronas though. That could give some idea what CGX could get.
Comment by AnMar on Dec 03, 2020 3:40pm
I believe Elliot Management made that investment prior to drill results on the Kaieteur block being released; results weren't favourable. Do you think Elliot Management would still make that investment today? Exxon has further drilling there on hold now pending analysis of results. It's possible that Exxon may put off further work there for quite some time. They took a gamble and it ...more

Have Patience boys........ Shaking the tree at this stage will not work here for the Longs invested in this stock. We are here to the end when the final decisions will be made by our new co/Chair DeAlba. Keep in mind Frontera now is running this show and not the Champaine popper Suresh... Personally, I think that when we get a public press release and word of the JV..... in whatever form ...more

So well put WindyHill you said it all so plain and clear. Now we sit and wait just a little longer and the reward will happen.I'm sure we will always here the negitive side to CGX but just can't please all the people all the time with any positive out look. Thanks again.

rah rah rah, can't shake this tree haha; Are you kidding? The tree is long dead and has fallen over. The government should have stripped CGX of Corentyne and may still do so. It still isn't clear to me what is meant by subject to documentation -  what documentation are they referring to? Maybe I am just a little thick and am missing something here, but to me it looks like they could ...more

WCP if you did your DD you wouldn't buy this stock, plain and simple. You have to believe in these prospects.... I do It's a high risk high reward play, so if you don't have the intestinal fortitude to withstand the ups and downs (and I know it's frustrating sometimes), then this is not for you. I have the belief that CGX will make a huge strike on the next drill. Things are ...more

"have to believe in these prospects".... soulife, I guess all my posts about the vast potential oil-in-place volumes and amazing seismic these past couple weeks mean nothing? Gotcha!  I think I have it.... many on this board think I am too negative. Guess my thoughts on actual finances (ie., ways to fund drilling programs) are completely ludicrous. Guess all we need to do instead ...more

WCP you constantly conjure up the most negative scenarios. How can anyone take you seriously. Thank god for OIL_RUN on this board....he brings sanity and a great balance to your negativity. That's all I will say. I suggest you read your own posts for a change....but then again you might become depressed. Oh ....please don't read them, I would hate to see a depressed WCP post............... ...more
