OIL_RUN - question for you
Oldcompanyman had a question and you are the only one I think might be able answer it. Please opine if you can. TIA A question for the geologists of the board: Today I discussed Kawa-1 with one of my geologist friends who invested in CGX and who stated he would expect, based on the limited available data, that the EMW required for that reservoir could be in the range of 13-14 ppg. For non-geologists, this would simply mean that this reservoir will be, despite considerable total depth, much easier to drill than what I had expected (I was expecting HPHT conditions and anywhere >17ppg required MW). We (my geologist friend and myself) do not have experience with the local basin. Can anyone with a substantiated reason to believe one way or another (HPHT / non-HPHT) bring their opinion on the table?

We all remember Jaguar 1 and they had to stop because of the pressure. This time they are ready.lol I hope.

Not only Jaguar but I think their eagle wells also encounter pressure/high temperature. But that was the old CGX. With much more data about the basin and similar wells drilled few miles away I would want to believe CGX is better prepare this time around. Not to mention the experience team they have working with them now.
