Nothing has changed about this play yet

I feel like there's like a flurry of activity and analysis around the well now, and one could almost think that implies we have more info about the success of the well.

Unless I'm misunderstanding nothing much has changed since we started drilling. The well's reached the first target without much hiccup which is great, but derisks only very slightly as it was the expected outcome.

At the end of the day the coinflip, the great filter in our success is still ahead of us, same as before. I've been in more than one stock where people started overanalysing old data as we got closer to the deadline - only for the coinflip to fail anyway. Overanalysis isn't progress. I don't think there's anything new to be gleaned from the public data. It's now just a wait and see

Over analysis? What is happening now is the integration of old information with new information. You're statement implies that no new information is coming in.Like detectives putting an old murder case in the cold case file. Yes all of that information is known. But what relevance do they attach to it? As an analogy say a bloody cloth found at the crime scene in 1981 has some relevance but not ...more

Sure but this must have all been factored into the 3rd party analyses put out earlier just this year. The one in feb put best odds at about a coinflip. Has any advancement come out since then that is going to change the calculus much? And would we be able to make a better guess with outsider data? If so, i'm open. But perhaps just as a reminder to myself, i wanted to note that in terms of ...more

Yes you're right. I understand. All I am saying is this: Someone tells you the radius of a circle. You have two pieces of information - the radius and the fact that it's a circle. The purpose of logic is to deduce new information from existing information. From the radius you can deduce the circle's area and circumference. That's what dragonfly is doing. As one bit on new ...more

What baffles is that with all the claims of 3-D reprocessing etc and all on the website to show is some grainy 2-D no discussion on what was the outcome from derisking of the bright spot away from Fizz

Don't even know how "grainy" is defined by you earth scientists. I do know that in electronics that a waveform is a composite of many waveforms. You can actually cancel out megaWatts of waveform with another 180 degrees out of phase.Like you could put someone in a bath of electrolitic salt and impose two two currents across them 180 degrees out of phase cancelling each other out so ...more
