so who will be the jv partner? apache/total or Chevron? my guess chevron, seems they have been left out, and exxon seems to be busy. whoever it is has to have deep pockets, deal could be as simple as carrying cgx/fec on the next two drills for 33% with an option for more.

You nailed it dragonfly and the only one taking advantage of the huge opportunity is Frontera! Which is fine by me as I choose to play this through them as ultimately they are the real owners. In spite of what other people have to say about Frontera they saved cgx shareholders axx as there would be no play without them and they could have been a whole lot more underhanded if they wanted to be

Hypothetically speaking……knowing their (CGX/Frontera) financial position it was always known they don’t have enough to see this to fruition. The best option was to gamble everything on Kawa-1 alone and have interested parties bid for a complete takeover of CGX (not Frontera) pending a commercial find. That way Frontera gets 80% of the buyout to continue being a partner in the block…..maybe this

My point dumbaxx is someone had to step in, it doesn't matter who it is so why shi! on them just because the share price hasn't given you the chance to pull your profit out. While we speculate who will buy into or farm into cgx block there is the possibility of an consortium of few companies and not just a single major oil company. I expect frontera to retain small stake.
