Based on the current Maerk drilling fleet forecast seems Demerara is off the table.

Thr only way they manage to spud the license before the exploration date is if they are already in discussion for another rig or to farmdown to a partner who can mobilize a rig by Feb. 12, 2022.

Guyana government already starting to chatter about a Q3 2022 lease round for relinquished acreaged...I don't believe CGX Energy will get any further extensions.

Something is up, I just can't see them giving up on that huge blob of potential. Gotta be somerthing in the works, Does this block also ride on the success of KAWA1 and a Farm in JV. KAWA is huge in so many ways.

well with the heavy joe and jethrow,and the venezuela threats,yah it is off the table.IT is like some one listend to me ,i have been saying that CGX`s best  shot is the tip of the corentyne. BOY they sure did sismic the tip EH?  the tip is all you need for billions of barrels of oil,or gas condensate like the haimara.                    &

Interesting that Maersk has CGX booked for only 1 month in Jun 2022. I understood that the Demarara well would be much shorter to drill - like 30-40 days. I wonder if that is why it is booked for such a short period of time. Likely some back room dealings going on. Hopefully they don't lose the D license.

Cant see why a major wouldnt want to JV with CGX on Demarra to guarantee access as opposed to having to bid for it and risk not getting it.  I suspect this announcement is coming soon otherwise FEC/CGX is negligent in handling their assets.  I am putting money on a JV coming for that piece so that they can keep their license.  GLTA.

that's why I pick Chevron (and or group) Chevron has block in Suriname, they carry cgx/fec on next two drills wei and demera for 33%, Chevron and group gains info from kawa,wei and demerara for there block in Suriname.
