Christmas New Year Shutdown

I would point out that usually the oil industry shuts down around the 15 of December and they don't return till the new year. 
It allows the workers to go home and enjoy Christmas and New Years with their families. Then back to work. It has been that way all the time I worked in the industry.  
I would assume that drilling would be the same as the rest of the industry. Let's hope we know before they shut down.

I can't see them leaving a hole 5500m drilled for three weeks just to give a few people holidays. Hire a crew of Muslims and atheists and pay them double time. Too much at stake to not complete this hole imo.

The pipelines and oil refineries take this time so everyone can return home. Maybe your right and that part of the industry does not take any time off. Was never work that part of the industry.

Maybe a few new pipelines and storage tanks to be build soon. Natural Gas for a new power plant that they will require for more industry to be built.
