My analysis

There was a deliberate push to breach 90 cents stop loss triggers today...this was a calibrated, coordinated shake out.with a million plus rolling loose it seems the feeding frenzy stopped after there was no reactive widespread panic..reslience ..This is playing out like Apache did on Maka-Central or someone with resources is fixing to make sure it does...there is no info flowing from company but I'm imagining  a probable scenario.
Maybe some difficulties after Campanian just about entry point to Santonian they got differentially stuck ..had to be jarred loose moved anchors etc a bit then realigned probably a slight sidetrack ..this would push into a cost overrun so decision to continue is probably based on positive results in Campanian and fact that the main horizon just a hundred meters below so what ever remediation was done with maybe  some hydaulic oil etc spilling nothing big and they back on program but behind schedule by 4-5 days with Enav Peregrina gone back to Chaguramas get additional material to effect any well design changes maybe losing a diameter along the way etc..just hypothetical ..the above is just a suggestion and should not be taken as gospel advice or misconstrued in anyway by morons...of course morons would  because as it is said in Catcher in the Rye.."all morons hate it when you call them a moron".anyways somewhere someone is seeing value at US 90 cents where others saw at US$1.51

DIFFERENTIALLY STUCK WOULD EXPLAIN A LOT. MAYBE THAT IS OUR OIL FLOATING.THE TIMING IS VERY CLOSE TO THE TARGETS BEING DRILLED.
Comment by Dirksidetrack on Dec 07, 2021 5:55pm
Yep it would. High mud weight due to high pore pressure creates hydrostatic pressure overbalance relative to a lower pore pressure formation up hole. Then inactive drill string for an extended period of time like when killing a kick in maybe a high angle well creates conditions for differential sticking.Oil spill is something else is my bet. Lots of oil tankers from Venezuela go by there on way to ...more

Ok ...thanks Dirk I would not disagree ..after all what the dif between one speculation and another ...on the SP deffo some good resistance below 90 centavos .Butterfingers real cheap today mate. To do the migration model proper it seems like I would have to get some conglomerate and breccia and other sandstones and some mud lol ..and a 3-D printer .I'm looking at Maka-Central the Campanian ...more

Ok let me try to decifer. You know that before CGX drilled Eagle, they flew in the coman who handled that mess on Shell Abrary to get his ideas on how to drill Eagle. You're talking pressure inversion, where pore pressure gets very high requiring high mud weights then drops abruptly lower down and you start losing mud to the hole. That was the nightmare on Abrary Street. Eagle they prepared ...more

Thermal cracking is the process that happened 85 million years ago mya when heat by pressure caused the kerogen to give it up...you overthinking it ..inversion of the basin itself not thermal ..uplift I'm talking..yep Abary ..at some parts of the drape there are pockets or zones of extreme pressure created by the angle of the slump and the rising gas
Comment by Dirksidetrack on Dec 08, 2021 3:36am
Ok cracking as in cracking the cyclical carbon bonds on the larger hydrocarbon ring (aromatic) into smaller molecules on a microscopic level. Not macroscopic cracking. In other words temp so high that kerogen got cooked into natural gas in some areas. Is that correct.Hey Dfly , thanks for your input. I've been posting geological questions scouring responses for explanations since August trying ...more

07:45 AM Hey Dirk.. man some of these individuals test my patience ..purile and moronic indeed. Yeah no kidding. You been telegraphing things, especially geology, (who cares about operations) this entire well. So they got clay in Santonian? No good. Anyway let's see what OTC market makers or mm's as they're called think about this. They got the cash to hire their own $2000 per day experts to guide them. Maybe that's why you posted PSG 1.40 for a draw. Geez, world full of dumb ...more

hey things might be turning,                             hey  dirk what the hell is     HIGH  ANGLE,    is this an oil field expression?
Comment by Dirksidetrack on Dec 08, 2021 4:12pm
Low angle is close to vertical down. As you approach horizontal the angle gets higher in oil field speak.
Comment by Miftee9 on Dec 08, 2021 5:14pm
Just for the record they Clearwater and Peace river are not close.  In fact, 2 completely different terrains.  Buy hey, if you say so.
Comment by Dirksidetrack on Dec 08, 2021 5:40pm
Clearwater is a formation that extends across northern Alberta. Anyway clarify with Baytex that they're mistaken. They say Peace River area: https://www.globenewswire.com/en/news-release/2021/09/01/2290446/0/en/Baytex-Provides-Update-to-2021-Clearwater-Appraisal-Program.html

Comment by Dirksidetrack on Dec 08, 2021 4:06am
Jada13, Annoying? I'm annoying? Ok sorry, I can be zero annoying if that's what you and others want. Useless board anyway. I haven't learned anything here from anybody except for Dfly.
