Hi sparky

Words might be huge but do not carry much meaning when you have 9 billion barrels discovered to the north in a different reservoir and discoveries to the east in Suriname in a different part of the basin.   Be careful playing the trendology game.   I am not saying its bad news but I would like to suggest caution as the big words do not mean oil has migrated into the lower reservoirs yet to be drilled.  Its still a little bit like going to the roulette table in my opinion.   Again, dont bet what you cant loose!

Oil, I believe, migrates up, not down. That's why it a good sign. Many drills have been halted before total depth, due to the negative signs above!

Here's what I found: A source rock that generates petroleum, either biogenically or thermally. If a source rock was active in the past, it is either inactive or spent in the present. Also a petroleum system is defined as having 4 components - source rock, migration pathway ...more

Yes Dirk, "active" is the key word.

Yes and we may be seeing a very "active" short squeeze happening right now as well.
