Typical demob procedure

Lj, or ocm or Dirk or whomever, can you give us what typical demob looks like? Is there a flurry of supple vessel activity, does most of the drill crew (and whatever other crews) leave the rig? Does any of the testing crew stay around after the drill crew leaves to do extra testing? Is that even possible once rig is getting demob? Any general guidelines on the process would be appreciated.

Backloading of sack room, bulk mud and cement products etc. But first P&A the well. They usually skid rig after installing a tree in the well head before pulling riser and BOP. If you see a rig skid with lots of supply boat activity then it may signal a demob.But it could also signal a rip current which happened to us on a Statoil well offshore Venezuela in 2006 on the Sovereign Explorer ...more
