Updated Guyana Map (via HESS investor presentation)

Includes updated Lau Lau and Fangtooth discoveries. Notably, Lau Lau is between Pluma and Haimara is by far the crown jewel (so far) with almost 100m of net pay. The discovery depth/formation was not disclosed for Lau Lau by either HESS or Exxon, but based on offset discoveries and CGX internal prospect map, its very likely Campanian in age.

One would have to imagine if Kawa-1 is successful, the next well should be within this pocket of Corentyne targetting their next best prospect that should hopefully have similar net to Pluma/Lau Lau/Haimara.

Figured I would include in a message, as I have not seen any good ones online so far.

I understand Lau Lau was the first XOM/Hes drilled to the Santonian? You seem to assume the hit was in the Campanion and not the Santonian. I'm sure they didnt drill down to the Santonian just for something to do?  GLTA, lj

Ljmorin, Could you, or anyone else, post a link that shows the target depth and formation for Lau Lau? I only saw one for Fangtooth in everything posted online, not Lau Lau.  Thanks.

I believe wcp is right. No info on Lau Lau. I wonder why?! Lol. It is soo close to our northwest targets, somehow I suspect the lack of info is intentional. C"Mon Kawa! Show us the money!

From what I understand is that fangtooth is the only santonian targeted well so far although there was few appraisal Wells drill to that depth.

It's interesting if you compare Slide 9 of the recent Hess presentation, with Slide 8 of the CGX presentation from last October, where they show the various fan lobes coming out of the Berbice Canyon area.  CGX appears to have labeled the area that ultimately contained the Lau Lau discovery with a big question mark (?) at that time. https://cgxenergy.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10 ...more
