I stand corrected, Sabre rattling is more of a American term. My wife is Guyanese she refers to a machete as a cutlass herself. My father in law prefers the English manufactured

Pretty much, first time I met my wife in Guyana she was using cutlass to open a coconut, very skilled and had all her fingers and toes . Second day at the house her father gave me all the knives in the household to sharpen
