What do you not get Matt?

I will not invest in an illiquid stock where I can't get out without a profit. Most investors feel the same way. We're not sophisticated like you. We want to sell at market whenever we want and have the cash show up in our cash account immediately.

Kelvin CGX is not XOM.  If you want a dividend, slow growing stock that is very liquid you shouldn't be here.  You seem to continue to hope or question why CGX is not what your risk appetite craves but it will never happen.   CGX is a lottery ticket.   No you dufus, the choice to drill was not random, the success rate is.  Most wildcats are at the most a 33 ...more

Well whatever. It's your money tied up that you can't free up. Good luck.

Seriously smh. Prolly drilin Santonian target right now where volume should be in the millions with sp over $10 but I got some guy who, if he tried to sell 10,000 shares would sink the sp to under a buck, calling me a dufus.

Hey I didn't create this mess but go ahead and shoot the messenger. Only way to get bid interest in my opinion is to test the well. What I said back in August 2021 when I was Dirk. They gotta and will test. So don't despair. Might take a while though.
Comment by westcanpride on Jun 01, 2023 9:19pm
So let's say they did flow test the well, are you a reservoir engineer Kelvin? Do you have the ability to start doing in depth reservoir performance prediction and build type curves that will detail recovery factor, peak flow rates, decline analysis, etc.  wothout pertinent information from the reservoir (such as fluid quality, reservoir permeability, oil formation volume factor, net ...more

Oh wow wcp I don't have a clue about reservoir engineering nor earth science. I have stated that before ad nauseum. But I do know lots of people who are. Why didn't you get on some posters here who ran off PlainviewOil who dared to suggest that flow tests were absolutely necessary. An accomplished and experienced geophysicist. If the input doesn't fit your narrative then you attack ...more

Most of you guys are "woke" by nature. You are tolerant of everybody's opinion as long as it doesn't challenge yours. You tell me! Is a well test required or not????
Comment by westcanpride on Jun 01, 2023 10:22pm
Listen Kelvin, I've been attacked on this board as well for my analysis of management and their efforts. I don't take any of it personally and nor should you. Calling people names is just stupid and childish. Grow up! If you truly did work on a rig, your a grown a*s man... act like one and treat people with respect.  Plus trust me, a flow test of Wei-1 is pretty pointless at this ...more

Fair enough wcp. I actually liked your and Shedrills posts. This issue of testing or not has been bugging me since Kawa spud. My reservoir engineer friend in Calgary sent me a link which I posted here back in October 2021. It was a case study of what was involved in testing an HTHP well in the Bay of Bengal, India. They had to create special alloy metals, machine them to "mil spec" ...more

new to OYL here. BTW, i DID NOT NEED A FLOW TEST to put some money into OYL, you think competitors familar in this basin need a flow test to do a farmin? Sure i could lose some money if the well is a dud but surely i don't need a well test to know if the well is a dud or not. There are plenty of clues to know beforehand if the well is a boomer, good, marginal or a dud. Obviously you don ...more
