Much ink has been spilled digitally over how Frontera will move forward with CGX/Guyana. I think the real answer resides in how much leeway the Guyana government (such as Dr. Jagdeo) offer following Wei-1. 

The government has famously been very patient with CGX and has only recently been more aggressive (probably because it's pretty much Frontera'a show now). If the government for instance pushes for quick movement/little leeway in terms of future extensions (for example, additional wells in Corentyne as a follow up on Wei and Kawa), how does Frontera (and by extension Catalyst) respond? If their plans are to rely solely on JV/full sale, and it does not happen quickly, I'm sure the Guyana government will come knocking and demanding future cash injection ASAP. 


just another random thought for a otherwise slow Monday morning (which again is hard to believe given where Wei-1 is in the borehole).

If Wei is a success and CGX files the paperwork for commerciality like they did for Kawa they've automatically bought themselves a couple years anyways per the contract. I don't think CGX, FEC Guyana or I will be here in a couple years in my opinion.   My hope is that between Kawa / Wei that another company see's enough value that they buy FEC Guyana / CGX out for a ...more

I hear you. I have been long for like 20+ years and doubled up in the .25 rights offering. Should have quadrupled cut anyway. Have been on this board since and am kind of fatigued. It's been waiting for Godot....hit oil pay us out and thank you.
