I'll take a shot and try to predict the future. Two scenarios.   One:  They sell cgx port land and remaining 30% of oil stake. Frontera sells their stake too.  Frontera goes back to Columbia. The book of CGX is closed.  How much for those thirty acres?   It best be done before December 3rd.  Maduro the tin pot dictator is a loose cannon.  One USD a ...more

I don't believe any of the case scenarios you described are valid. Frontera is keen to participate in further exploration and development of the asset. The challenge is that they can't afford to do it on their own. It is a much bigger game ( Big Boys Club) like BP, Exon, and so on.  Idealy they will continue exploration phase until a Big Major E&P comes in and takes ...more

I agree Dell1. If they have a massive hydrocarbon migration fairway in the Coniacian where hydrocarbons migrate up to shallower formations like the Santonian, Campanian and Maas via faults then those upper zones would see very high abnormal pressures because the much higher pressure from the lower zones would be communicated up to the shallower zones.
