$225 million CAD

This is roughly how much Frontera (and Pacific) has paid over the past decade to obtain their massive share ownership of CGX shares. 

bottom line.... Frontera is also in the hole big time on their CGX shares. Breakeven is currently around 0.86 cents CAD.   

At this point, Frontera would require CGX shares to more than double in current price to just breakeven. See if Houilian Lockey can pull off the miracle for all of us.

Their sunk cost is closer to $450 MM.

They probably have a P50 of over 1 billion barrels including the C and S zones so their $450mil investment could do quite well for them.

I suppose now, in any scenario going forward for the Maastrichtian, reservoir engineering is critical now.  If Maastrichtian is going to be sold, type curves for production are required (ie, monthly and yearly forecasts of oil production). These will feed into parameters surrounding pipelines and thus how many production wells are required (both upfront and in future years). Guaranteed this ...more
