Guys

I was asked if I was confident in what they've reported regarding formation fluid composition. I replied that I'm 100% confident but the wells haven't been flow tested so we don't know how good the bpd output is. There could be permeability barriers.

Anyway I'll defer to the wireline, LWD experts on this board because I know very little about logging but here is what Google AI Overview says:

Spectroscopy is a technique that uses gamma ray spectroscopy to measure the yields of different elements in a formationThe results are presented as ratios, such as C/O, Cl/H, or Fe/(Si + Ca), which indicate the relative concentration of elements. These ratios can indicate the presence of oil, salinity, lithology, porosity, and clay.
Here are some types of wireline logging spectroscopy:
  • Pulsed neutron spectroscopy log
Uses a pulsed neutron generator to measure elemental yields. The inelastic spectrum can provide information on carbon and oxygen, while the capture spectrum depends on many elements, including hydrogen, silicon, calcium, iron, sulfur, and chlorine.
  • Gamma-ray log
Can estimate total organic carbon (TOC) from well logs in organic-rich mudrocks. Gamma-ray logs respond to potassium (K), thorium (Th), and uranium (U), which are generally high in clay-rich formations.

Wireline logging is a process that uses electric instruments to measure the properties of a formation. The measurements are performed after drilling, and the data is used to make decisions about drilling and production operations.

I should add that in addition to the info that they have they have already provided regarding formation fluid composition and effective porosity they have also stated that they have confirmed an "active petroleum system".  Why they're having such a challenging time finding JV partners is a matter of speculation but I'm in the camp that believes that potential partners fear ...more

If nothing transpires within the next two months ...legal action will certainly take place ...pretty sure there is a very good case here ...

Jagdeo's comments about not being concerned over a potential court battle has me a little uneasy, although I suspect that's nothing more than grandstanding BS. Scooped up more shares this week at these prices... the rally is likely coming.

Pretty good case for what Frank? It is impossible for them to be lying about the results that they have reported.  You must be refering to legal interpretations of agreements. That could take years. So this sp would be stuck in limbo for a long time. I hope they get this sorted out soon. Meanwhile the port looks promising. I did some cursory research on the sand and clay hill area where ...more
