Lester B. Pearson doing Temperature Checks

Just read this paragraph in the Toronto Star article about what Lester B Pearson Airport is doing: Your temperature will have to be checked, and soon this will be done at a dedicated portal that’s about a month away from being approved by the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority. Ideally, passengers will be going through temperature checks without even realizing that they’re going through temperature checks, said Flint.

Seems to coincide with the sales timeline. Hope I am right.

Uhm .. this is good. Are there any competitors that use sensors instead of cameras? I hope not but seems likely. To be honest I feel that airports are using cameras for everything tho.  Is privacy an issue at airports? Anyway nice find TTH.

temperature screening will become a lot bigger than what people think......when society will realise that you can't put a swab in the nose of every kid before school in the morning, to everyone entering a retirement home, workers at the plant, airports, etc...the most acceptable way to live with covid (the best compromise) is temparature screening

I just quickly looked at PMED. Interesting.  They use cameras, so not the same ya? Uploading your picture to the cloud might be a privacy issue ya? Any advantage in using Thermapass? I think so but market will decide.

The world is very excitable when it comes to privacy issues, even more so with how much governments have been able to control because of the pademic.  I believe that the privacy aspect of ThermalPass is seriously underated at this time.  As things loosen up, privacy concerns will grow IMO.

I believe another underated aspect is portability.  I like that it has wheels. WEATHER PROOF Can be used outdoors in any weather Ambient temperature does not impact performance PORTABLE Light weight Easy to assemble and disassemble Includes a rechargeable power pack (Lithium Ion rechargeable for 45-50 hours of operation)

If you donot like this do not read my posts. This is the only technology I have come accross that has Health Canada approval for mass screening without invading someones privacy. https ...more
