I had the privilege of visiting Momentum Recycling last week in Salt Lake City. The founder, John Lair, is a visionary who built a glass recycling facility in Salt Lake City, a city with no monetary incentives to recycle glass.

John is helping Progressive Planet design our pilot plant which will convert post-consumer glass into PozGlass, a cement powder which can replace up to 50% of Portland cement in concrete. PozGlass does not off gas CO2 during its production, unlike Portland cement which is responsible for 7% of global CO2 emissions.

I never get tired of hearing the tinkling of glass breaking. it was fun watching the trucks offload the post-consumer glass.
