The Kamloops and District Chamber of Commerce and MNP have announced the finalists for the 38th annual Business Excellence Awards.
In a news release, the chamber said the 2024 awards received more than 730 nominations from the public, with about 130 unique businesses and organizations recognized.
Acacia Pangilinan, executive director for the Kamloops and District Chamber of Commerce, noted the “remarkable contributions” of all nominees to the local economy, job creation and community growth.
“Congratulations to all the finalists for this well-deserved recognition, their achievements highlight them as beacons of excellence and inspiration to us all,” Pangilinan said.
“We look forward to honouring their accomplishments at the awards ceremony in October.”
The chamber said a selection committee made up of 30 volunteers from the regional business community, including past award winners, industry experts and sponsors, scored the nominees to determine the finalists. MNP then tabulated the scores and provided a list of finalists to the chamber.
Selection committee members will now interview finalists to choose the award winners for 15 categories. A 16th award, the FIT Financial Business of the Year, will be chosen from all category winners and announced at the Business Excellence Awards Gala at Thompson Rivers University on Oct. 24.
