Anduril funding

Kraken Robotics' Most Likely Acquirer Just Secured Significant Funding

This week, we highlighted Kraken Robotics as a potential acquisition target for its customers, like Anduril and HII. Today, Bloomberg reported that Anduril received US$1.5 billion in funding at a US$14 billion valuation, its revenue last year was around US$500 million and aiming for US$1 billion by 2026. In our recent post, we noted the strategic sense for Anduril to acquire Kraken to secure battery supply and reduce margins for their planned high-volume manufacturing facility for their autonomous underwater vehicles. With Kraken's market cap of just over C$200 million, Anduril now has the financial capability to comfortably make the acquisition. It’s also interesting to note the significant valuation chasm: Anduril is valued at 28X last year's revenue and 14X two years out, while Kraken trades at 2X its estimated 2024 revenue.

Lots of potential purchasers out there IMO

I agree. While I love the company and the way it's growing , I would not be opposed if some larger entity made a generous takeover offer . A nice 40 % + premium bid works for me .

I hope it's more than 40%. Seems low. Is there another suitor out there that could start a bidding war? I can dream!
