The Acoustic Corer’s role in the Hudson River Ground Stabilization (HRGS) Project is crucial.
This project, awarded to Weeks Marine, Inc., is the first heavy construction contract by the Gateway Development Commission (GDC) on the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP).
The HRGS Project aims to stabilize the riverbed in 1,200 feet of the shallow area on the Manhattan side of the Hudson River to ensure the Tunnel Boring Machine can excavate the new tunnel while protecting the riverbed from disruption.
This is a significant step for Kraken Robotics towards the successful completion of this project.
