When will the drill bit run out.

Even Steve Beresford has told Terry at some point the drill bit will run out but it doesn't mean that's it. It's just a pause in the story. I really hope this isn't the pause right now when we get the upcoming holes. IMO these next holes will be crucial. A pause could mean many things. It could be temporary or it could be the end of the section which wouldn't be good. If they are sub par, we would be in trouble. There will be a lot of negative speculation and profit taking. HOWEVER If they are above /well above average we could see a nice jump. I personally am interested in the next 150m step out after this one. As I've mentioned I think that one will move this one way or the other in a big way once and for all. GLTA

Back to the drill bit will run out. True. Sort of. Eventually. We used to joke back in the dot com bubble days that reporting revenue was the kiss of death. It was better to report "addressable market" than market share even if it was 100%. Mining is sort of the same. They keep stepping out further until they reach the limits of the ore body. Then something called the Lassonde curve ...more

I know the lassonde curve well Max. The key thing is that companies need to survive that trough in order to see that upswing. Monies need to be raised at good valuations to keep the blood flowing. If companies fall prey to weak commodity prices and bargain basement PP and share offering then good luck. Most don't make it. A recipe for disaster. I don't foresee that here. Fingers crossed ...more

All about the rocks ultimately. The drill will decide. There's never been a disaster for high grade large tonnage deposits. Most do fail. But it's not unlike fishing. You're not successful on every cast. Keeping with the analogy, 90% of the fish are caught by 10% of the fishermen. Having an experienced team on highly prospective property is all we can look for. The rest is fate.

I like your analogy "90% of the fish are caught by 10% of the fishermen" in PNPN case I believe were within the top 5% in having Steve Beresford and Joe Campbell looking to catch more monster size fish at Lake Nisk. Their importance cannot be overstated, their success generates the bedrock needed for a prosperous project. Their past success's in PGE & Ni sulphide deposits ...more

Joe Campbell has Western Mining pedigree as does Beresford and they worked together in past. They are a good team. Interesting that Joe Campbell is President of GeoVector, the company that  has been doing the consulting Geophysics work and managing the drill program for PN.  Ken Williamson was also a private consultant who came in-house as an employee and is now going back to his ...more

It's a polymetallic  giant or it isn't. The in-house expert terry uses will not have the slightest influence on what's there. Or not there. It's fortunate terry has the foresight to bring in experts. Some money guys think they know more than any rock guy and think all that matters is throwing more money at it. That's the recipe for failure. Terry's doing it right. Now ...more

Good points. The geo team will not have the slightest influence on what is there/ The rocks are 2 point something billion years old. But the team will help them explore it efficiently and thoroughly, and they probably won't miss anything that is there.  They really do not know what is there, beyond what they have found, which is already substantial. I do not think that many people can get ...more

Terry has confirmed that visually hole 80 had mineralization. So we are not in trouble IMO. Check out todays video from Terry. He explains the delays in assays.

He also says that there's 16 holes to report on, they weren't all hits but none would be considered misses and some were really big hits. Sounds positive to me.

You're right Wheeler. Sounds pretty positive to me as well. As long as the majority are good and the none considered misses is just a couple of holes, then we could see a jump here. GLTA

I suspect it will probably be half-and-half, but as long as they can show continuity along that 1.9 km strike length, we will do very well.
