Where is James Beals when you need him most?
Not long ago , that crazy offer came and the stock was more than triple current levels.
You just know that whole thing smelled bad from the get go and would lead to this (as I predicted here on the board).
The thing is ask yourself one important question. Who among you or your friends has used visual search to find items you like at stores and bought them? It is a "cool" idea. But I know a lot of people and it just is not something people do, or at least not a lot of people. Stores often sign up for technology because of the fear of missing out on the next big thing.
I think the coupon thing should have been persued but to through million at something where people are going to get hit by a car while snapping a picture of someone crossing the road with a certain pair of shoes on , not to mention the oddity of taking pictures of strangers in general or their shoes or clothes out of nowhere just does not make sense.
Coupons are huge business and snipsnap is well liked but undernurtered and not as well known as it could be.
Just my opinion.
That whole Beals things was hilarious, i hope they found those people behind that and red peach (which was shut down then re-opened as another site). Paypal and some credit cards turned them off but they were taking money transfers (people stuck of course doing that)..
