Financing

Got this from Cam:
"In my view we will close a significant financing in the next two week ($7-$9M) I think the stock price may move positively once this financing is closed and announced. The primary financiers are based out of the U.S., the due diligence that has been preformed has  been exhaustive and at the same time satisfying as it has provided validation of what we have been building for the last few years."

This and cost cutting might get us to break even....

Likely story, sounds like what has been said about the Toronto Maple Leafs....wait until next year.. Promises, Promises. I said it before, this is a sChell game and the investors are being hosed.

The only way that 7-9m will work, is if the amount is in U.S Funds. The financiers are from the U.S, so might be possible. They need to bring costs down to around 2-2.25m if they want to make it work in that time frame. When financials come out they will probably be in the ball park of around 750k and Q1 should be interesting considering they basically doubled the clients. Might take Q2 as I ...more

From the updates to Best Buy and Home Depot apps it's seem like they are focussing on expanding the current client base and full launch of their technology before they sign anyone else. We have not seen any announcements of new clients in a while and I suspect that is the reason. But sooner rather than later I would like to see aditions of new clients to their portfolio.  It it does take ...more

They won't announce new clients until after the financing deal.
Comment by Leafs4Life on Feb 05, 2016 2:33am
They won't seek new clients because it costs so much to bring clients online. There is a massive amount of work involved with putting all of their "products" into the Slyce system.  This is why they mentioned how important it would be to automate the system. I happen to think this kind of "automation" is technologically impossible at this moment. So they continue to ...more

Everyone here is right. The company needs to make more money and spend less money. Just like 99% of public companies. This is not a news flash or revelation. The only thing that will allow us to move forward is the financing. Nothing else will do it unless the company has a winning powerball ticket. Hold tight little amigos we're eyeballing te week of Feb 15 for the financing which is 10 days ...more

Come on Leafs, some of your post are really good, others are garbage. They're constrained to an extent, but to suggest they aren't signing any new clients is hard to believe. They have a data centre in New Waterford, or have they layed them off?

I hate defending Slyce, but yes, they technically do have a "data centre" here in new waterford. All you really do though is label images taken by random people with their "app" and then you're ridiculed on not doing it in under "10 seconds" and getting it perfect. 3050 Wilson Ave, New Waterford, NS B1H 5V8 is the address-- it used to be Spiegel but ...more

It's interesting that in May you were 'following' slice a bit and now you used to work for them? There are a number of employee reviews on glassdoor that support your claim that the new management in New Waterford is not cutting it, but try to be consistent with your posts.

Spiegel went out of business, and Slyce will soon follow. You say mangement was a mess, it was then and obviously is worse now. Don't ask questions or you get fired. Sounds like a sChell game to me.  In a couple of weeks when the financing fails, expect to kiss your money/shares goodbye, or should I say bad-buy. SAD SAD SAD

Give it a rest. Do you not understand how government rebates work? You don't get something for nothing. I don't live near Toronto, so can't stop by. Yes, Grigsby sold shares most recently in July, still has nearly 500k though.
